This weekend, we hosted our first football party of the year! Friends, family, amazing food, and a whole day full of good games. Go Vols!!

I grew up homeschooled, in a very conservative family. We didn’t play or watch sports. So, when I married Annie almost ten years ago, I became a TN Vol by marriage. Thankfully the rest of our marriage has had more success than the Vols did for many years. If you follow football even a little bit, you know that Tennessee has been on the big time struggle bus for quite awhile now.

Our best friends though, are Bama fans. I realized I didn’t like arguing a topic that I knew little or nothing about. So, over the past 2-3 years I’ve gone from barely knowing what a touchdown was to actually being able to have an intelligent conversation about football current events.

So here I am on Labor Day, waiting to see Clemson play tonight so that I can excitedly open up the AP Top 25 poll tomorrow. That’s me: triplet mom, boy mom, nurse practitioner, fitness buff, and self-proclaimed football nerd.
